Please design your printing files in the format of your needed posters and allow an extra bleed of 0.1'' on each side clear of any text or other important elements and keep in mind that this bleed will be cut off during production. To avoid thin white edges on your printed posters, your bleed should be filled with your background color or image
In order to avoid parts of your text or design elements getting trimmed, please consider that the above mentioned bleed will be cut off after printing. All major elements like graphics, text or other important information should be placed inside the final format with a margin of about 0.08''.
We print with a 70 line screen which provides a resolution of 354 dpi. In order to obtain best printing results, your printing file should have a resolution of at least 300 dpi (dots per inch). Files with a lower resolution usually tend to appear blurry, however, for large format posters you may go down till 150dpi, as those products are usually viewed from a greater distance.
CMYK is the standard color mode we use. Thus, you should create your files with the CMYK color mode. If, however, we receive files with other color settings, our system will automatically convert them.
For professional offset printing you should always use Postscript fonts. TrueType fonts may cause issues during the exposure of the printing plates. If TrueType fonts are required for any reason, they should be converted to vectors or outlines (term might change depending on the used software).
We prefer PDF files while the first page should be the front and the second page - if applicable - should be the back. Alternatively you may also send us EPS, JPEG or TIFF files.
Adobe Photoshop users should always save their files as JPEG or TIFF. If a Photoshop PDF is required, please go the extra way by using Acrobat Distiller. Please do never save a PDF directly from Photoshop!
The sum of the four different color channels Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black should not exceed 300%, otherwise it causes an above-average ink application and may lead to a faulty result. Printed paper with such an high ink application won't dry properly and your prints will stick together and tear on separation. For a simple black or grey color please use K (K=key=black) only. To achieve a deep saturated black, 40% Cyan and 100% Black are adequate values (40/0/0/100). Alternatively you may also use CMYK 30/30/30/100.
