Bleed Format
Please ensure your file has the following dimensions:3.70'' x 2.20''
After printing we will trim off a 0.10'' bleed on each side. Any background elements or color should reach into this bleed area and last till the very edge of the file. Text and other important graphic elements should keep a safety distance to the inside.Trim Format (Final Product Format)
Your product will be delivered with the following dimensions:3.5'' x 2''
File Dimensions
Please first choose a size from the calculator to see the exact file dimensions.
Bleed 0.1'' (1/10'')
This margin is essential to compensate trimming tolerances. The bleed will usually be trimmed off completely. Please ensure that background images and any bleed objects, which are supposed to reach to the edge of your page, extend into this margin to avoid thin white edges after trimming.Safety Area 0.08'' (1/12'')
Additionally, please ensure that text and other important graphic elements are positioned at least 0.08'' away from the bleed to the inside. In most cases it doesn't look aesthetically if text stucks too closed to the edge.Resolution
We print with a 177lpi screen, which provides a resolution of 354 dpi. In order to obtain best results, your file should have a resolution of at least 300 dpi (dots per inch). Files for large formats, like for instance posters, may go below this threshold, however, in no case your resolution should be less than 150 dpi.Color settings
CMYK is the standard color mode for full color offset printing. Thus, please use the CMYK color mode when creating your file. If, however, we receive files with any different color setting, our system will automatically convert them to CMYK. This may result in slight color deviations which will not be accepted as complaints since we cannot know the original color you had in mind. To avoid color issues, please use our color profile available further down this page.Inking
The total of the percent values of the four color channels Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black must not exceed 300%. If it does, it will cause an above-average ink application and may not dry properly. As a consequence your printed products may stick together and tear on separation. For black or gray color please only use the K channel (K = key = black). If your fonts are using three or more color channels, shadows may appear on the prints making the text difficult to read.
To obtain a deep saturated black of strokes and fillings, 40% Cyan and 100% Black are adequate (40/0/0/100). Alternatively you may also use the values 30/30/30/100.
Fonts
For offset printing, please always use Postscript fonts. In rare cases TrueType fonts may cause issues with many professional printing workflows. If TrueType fonts are unavoidable they should be converted to outlines, paths or curves (this function may have different names according to the used software).File Formats
We prefer multipage PDF files, alternatively you may send us EPS, JPEG or TIFF files. Adobe Photoshop users should always save their files as JPEG or TIFF. If a Photoshop PDF is required, please use Acrobat Distiller to create the PDF (you may download our Acrobat JobOptions further down this page). Please never save a PDF directly from Photoshop.Page Order
In your PDF file, the first page should be the front and the second page the back. Important for folded double sided products: The first page of your PDF must always include the front panel of your folded product (means the page which is supposed to be the front page after folding)Templates

Paper Type and Finish Guide
12pt. Card Stock, Nacre Coating
A pearlescent nacre finish adds a iridescent and magical touch to the front of your business cards. Simple, clean designs in light colors work best with this finish.12pt. Card Stock, Silver Coating

Stay golden! Our double sided, beautiful golden coating provides a luxurious finish. The gold accent gives colors and lettering a bold advantage. We recommend a dark font for the best contrast.14pt./18pt. Card Stock, Coated Matte
Our matte aqueous coating is smooth, easy on the eyes, and is ideal for covering up small imperfections from heavy passing of business cards. These coated matte business cards on our standard paper, are one of our most popular and classic options.14pt. Card Stock, Metallic Effect
Welcome to the 2020’s. Our metallic effect is uber-cool, and provides a visually attractive, glimmering appearance. We recommend bold typography and features when using this paper stock.14pt. Card Stock, Anti-Microbial Coating
Our Anti-Microbial coating is harmless to humans, but eliminates 99% of all microbiological germs, such as viruses and bacterias. It has a long-term effect (up to one year), and is activated by artificial light.14pt./18pt. Card Stock, Matte Foil Lamination
Our Foil Lamination Matte business cards are water-resistant, silky and smooth. These have a non-shiny layer applied after printing, which creates a nice feel to the paper. Being water-resistant is a bonus feature.14pt./18pt. Card Stock, Hot Foil
All eyes on you, and your business cards! We offer glossy gold, silver and copper, as well as super-cool hologram effects that will make your designs stand out. This special foil is stamped onto the paper, and will create a slight relief on the edges.14pt./18pt. Card Stock, (Raised) Spot UV Coating
Create contrast, not just visually but also by touch! This option of matte paper with partial high gloss UV coating, will create a shiny, contrasting look. The raised spotting will also allow the logo or the writing to literally pop out of the card.14pt./18pt. Card Stock, Spot Color Gold/Silver
Want to add an additional flair to parts of your card design? We offer additional spot color in gold (Pantone 873C) or silver (Pantone 877C). This makes it easy to add a sophisticated, metallic touch to your card and brand.14pt./18pt. Card Stock, Glossy UV Coating
Gloss on the front, matte on the back! This option offers a contrast with high gloss protective UV coating to the front of your card, while the matte coated back of the card maintains a nice contrast.14pt./18pt. Card Stock, Soft Touch Lamination
This option is designed to have a luxurious and premium soft-feel, while still being a sturdy business card. Your clients won’t want to put this card down! The alternative relief coating adds an additional three dimensional feeling between the fingers.14pt. Uncoated, 100% Recycling

A sustainable solution doesn’t necessarily mean waiving an exceptional look! Match our eco-friendly recycled paper with partial hot foil stamping for an eye-grabbing experience. The uncoated paper creates a contrast when stamped with the glossy golden or silver foil application on parts of your design.14pt. Uncoated, Linen Structure

Got posters made for my band, they came out perfect!!! I'll be getting more soon
I've had several products made and have nearly no complaints. The business cards could have been packaged a little tighter to not cause damage in transit but ever considering that, mine had no damage. Other than that, I am extremely pleased with the quality and timeliness.
Great quality, great turn around.
This process has been great from the get-go. I had so many questions, and the ChilliPrinting team answered them in great detail. The ordering process was smooth, and the quality of the print was great. After receiving the print I had ordered, I had even more questions, and still ChilliPrinting answered them all promptly. Can't wait to send in my next order!
Every order is perfect! If there ever is a problem, (mostly with damage in transit), customer service handles the problem swiftly.
